Tools of the Trade

Having made quite an impression since entering the craft market, Dremel has launched a new cordless multitool.
Suitable for a variety of creative engraving projects, such as decorations on glassware, ceramics and wood, the 7700 is lightweight, easy-to-use and is being marketed towards a broad range of crafts. Jewellery-makers in particular will no doubt be drawn to the fact the tool can polish, drill into and carve silver jewellery out of pieces of precious metal.
The 7700 Hobby kit comprises a charger, three unique engraving templates, a storage Softbag and 15 accessories, which include four engraving cutters, a high speed cutter, a diamond wheel point, a tungsten carbide cutter and a precision drill bit set. Allowing the changing of accessories without using collets, a multi-chuck is also part of the kit and will appeal to crafters who want to get to work on projects quickly. The Dremel 7700 Hobby will be available priced at £49.99 (SRP).
