Published: Wednesday, June 30, 2010
Launched by Aceville publications – founder of Crafts Beautiful, Let's Knit, Sew and Make Jewellery – 10 years ago, the magazine has gone on to become the category's top source of information, providing businesses all over country with all the latest market news, trends and advice.
Celebrating with a 10-tier cake created entirely from paper by one of the industry's best-known papercraft companies, Inspire Me Papers, the publication's eagerly-anticipated gift stood at just over five foot in size and was adorned with a range of Craft Business logos.
Commenting on the ambitious design, Debbie Wigglesworth, brand manager at Inspire Me Papers, says, “As soon as we heard that Craft Business was about to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, we wanted to create something really special to not only mark the momentous occasion but also acknowledge the significant contribution the publication and its team have made to the meteoric rise of the industry within the UK over the last decade.
“We wanted to create a celebration piece that was inspirational and fun, yet significant in size to mark the auspicious occasion,” she explains. “So we decided to create a 10-tier cake made purely from Inspire Me papers!”
The creation of the cake was coordinated by Kathryn Bell and assembled by expert Angela Nickeas, who put together most of the decorations.
