The nation's knitters are being urged to get on board with the latest initiative from the Craft Club; a film project entitled Shuffle Along the Knitted Mortal Coil. But you'll need to get your knitting needles clicking as woollen gems need to reach Crafts Council by Friday 18th November.
The brief covers the five ages of man: birth and childhood, teenage years, adult life, aging and retirement, and death and beyond, and is open to anyone who fancies showing off their craft.
As well as handmade goods, the council is looking for photos and films that express your experience of the knitted world. The brief is open to interpretation, and anything goes, so let your imagination run wild and enjoy getting your creative juices flowing. The submitted projects will be on display at the screenings.
It's a great opportunity for your customers too, so don't forget to encourage them to get to work on a submission; it's not a talent contest, just a good old fashioned opportunity for wool-workers of all ages and abilities to enjoy sharing their craft.

Craft Club is also urging creative types to help the campaign increase the number of clubs across the UK to a cool 500 by the end of the year. With the mission requiring a further 95 groups in the next seven weeks, it's time to up the ante to help reach the goal.
