Camilla Halstead, co-founder of Craft Creative, a crafting workshop and teaching enterprise based in Liverpool, has been asked by the organisers of Bestival if the company will run a crafting tent at its Isle of Wight event running from 8th - 11th September.
Camilla, who along with her business partner Becky Christian has just won the Liverpool round of entrepreneurship body Striding Out’s Big Leap competition, giving them £2,000 worth of business support and advice for the next year, says she has her sights set on the big one next. “Glastonbury would be amazing!” she reveals. “Though obviously we are too late for this year's festival.
“I was so excited when I got the email from Bestival.”
Bestival was the winner of Best Major Festival 2010.
With crafting increasingly attracting a younger, hip creative crowd, we predict festival crafting is one to watch for the future.
You can read all about Camilla and Becky's win and their successful enterprise in the June/July issue of Craft Business.
