Create & Craft TV will launch a new needle, stitch and sew range this month, showcasing top brands and techniques with expert presenters.
From 18th April, the crafting channel will introduce kits, tools, materials, patterns and more, featuring everything from knitting and cross stitch to felt-making and quilting.
The shows will cater for all abilities from beginners to advanced crafters, and feature a range of top industry brands including Simplicity, Rowan, Patons, Cooper, Singer, Coats, Cross Stitch Guild, Clover, Pony, Hamble and Jemima, Cloth Kits, Authentic knitting, Gillian Gladrag, Extreme Knitting, Milla Mia and many more.
A variety of guests, experts and presenters will make appearances on the knitting and needlecraft shows, including Hayley West, Jane Greenoff (Cross Stitch Guild), Sarah Hatton (hand knits designer) and Debbie Shore.
“We are aiming to excite people about knitting and stitching and revive an age old craft that in recent years has become popular again,” says Tony Sheridan, Create & Craft managing director.
“We will be aiming to encourage people to take up the hobby and knit and stitch everything from fashion to interiors and gifts by showcasing a wide variety of ways to get involved with this hobby.”
The company will now have a greater on-screen presence, too. From tomorrow, Friday, 8th April, the channel, which is part of Ideal Shopping Direct, will extend its live hours on Sky and Freesat from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.
In addition, from Tuesday 12th April, the channel is extending its hours on Freeview by seven hours.
The channel will broadcast on Freeview from 6am to 6pm (live from 8am - 6pm), seven days a week. Create & Craft will remain on Freeview 36, however there will be a change in frequency. Some viewers may need to re-tune their boxes from Noon Tuesday 12th April in order to keep receiving Create & Craft TV on Freeview. Sky and Freesat is unaffected.
“We are extending our live hours in line with our product range expansion that will see knitting, stitch and sew plus other crafts such as art, jewellery making and kids crafts on the channel,”says Tony.
“The question most asked by our customers is 'when will you extend Freeview?'. The news that we are doing just that will no doubt make our customers happy and enable even more crafters, artists, knitters and sewers to experience our award-winning channel.”
