Cardmakers will have the opportunity to put their skills to good use in a bid to raise money for a cancer charity. The Create a Card for Cancer Care campaign will see thousands of crafters' handmade cards on sale for £1 each in Marie Curie Cancer Care shops.
This is the campaign's third year and will once again see Marie Curie joining forces with craft magazine and website do crafts, who are releasing a limited edition daffodil stamp to mark the event. The Create a Card project has raised thousands of pounds since 2006 and has funded over 5,000 hours of nursing.
“We are really excited about the Create a Card for Cancer Care 2008 and hope for it to be the best year yet,” says Andrew Knowles, managing director of do crafts. “It is a great campaign encouraging all people to come together and craft with their friends and family whilst raising funds for a very worthy cause.”
