Crafters around the country enjoyed a morning of stitching and cuppas at an event to raise funds for a cancer charity.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning was held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and was supported by Origin Publishing and DMC, who produced some special Lickle Ted designs to stitch with customers and friends at the event. "It was a great day and everyone really enjoyed themselves. It is amazing that simply enjoying a cup of coffee and catching up with friends and neighbours can make a difference to people affected by cancer," says coffee morning host Kathleen Upton.
Ciarán Devane, Macmillan's chief executive, was grateful to all those who supported the event on Friday 28th September. "I'd like to say a massive thank you to all who joined the World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. Cancer affects us all and simply having a cup of coffee is a great way to help Macmillan to support more people affected by cancer."
