Organisers of one of the UK's leading papercraft events are celebrating after the show attracted a record number of visitors.
The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show, held at Alexandra Palace in London, attracted more than 7,000 papercrafters, including at least one celebrity. “With over 60 exhibitors to choose from visitors were spoilt for choice and could easily spend the whole weekend indulging in their favourite hobby. We even spotted Helena Bonham-Carter stocking up on her card-making and scrapbooking stash!” explains Kerry McIntyre from event organiser Express Services.
The event, held on 29th and 30th September, also offered demonstrations and make and takes to the crafting crowds. “The response was overwhelming,” says Kerry. “Advance ticket sales were very strong, with some classes selling out within weeks of going on sale! Almost all other classes sold out on the day, offering a fabulous learning experience to all those lucky enough to get theirs hands on a ticket.”
