Hobbycraft's Orpington store fell foul of rioting, but thankfully it was just the shop's front doors that were damaged.
No one was harmed and no stock was looted. “Funnily enough, no body seemed to want to personalise their batons this time!” jokes Phil Legg, store manager. “The doors were smashed, but if we could choose anything to be damaged, it would be these.”
The store opened in May this year, unveiling new branding for the company in the process, and it's business as usual for staff.
The Greenford store (pictured) was also apparently damaged by rioters, with concerned crafter and Twitter user @albertscrochet tweeting a picture of the store's front window with hazard warning tape across it, having been apparently shattered, although not completely broken.
