The show, now in to its seventh year, focuses specifically on the paper crafts sector including card making, scrapbooking and rubber stamping. This year's event saw buyers, press and other industry operators from the US and international markets convene in Las Vegas for the three day event.
The convention was well attended and many exhibitors felt it was very positive. “Figures indicate that there were 4773 attendees during the show. There were 300 exhibitors with 1033 stands and more than 50 educational sessions,” comments Bill Gardener, editorial director of Craftrends Magazine. “In addition, at the show we announced flans for the launch of Memory Trends magazine, a trade publication specifically for that market,” adds Bill.
The trade convention was Paper Cellar's third, following the full launch of its US based operations at the start of this year. “With a sharp focus on the sector in which our business specifically operates, Memory Trends naturally always featured in our show plans for the year,” comments Ash Hirani of Paper Cellar. As an exhibitor, he felt the attendance to the event was very strong. “The amount of people coming to the stand appeared moderate relative to other US shows we have done, however, the 'quality' of visitors to our booth was something we were very pleased with,” he adds. He found that the interest the company generated was very positive. “We also received substantial interest from the press, which as a relative newcomer to a vast market, can only be good news for our business going forward,” concludes Ash.
