One of the country's best-known homeware designers will be opening a new branch in Leeds at the end of the month, suggesting interest in home décor is set to grow considerably over the next year.
The new 3,000 square foot Cath Kidston store will be opening in the city centre, and is expected to draw even more excitement about the home décor sector, which has performed particularly well over the past 12 months.
Commenting on the new launch, Jonathan Newns, head of King Sturge In-Town Retail in Leeds, says, “This transaction shows that there is resilient demand from retailers for the right product in prime areas. We are able to target and secure new occupiers to the region by understanding their requirements, and placing them with the most suitable property.”
He adds, “The new Cath Kidston store represents a strong deal for the landlord and is a positive letting for Leeds as this increasingly-popular independent retailer will add to the variety and vibrancy of its retailing offer.”
