Primary school pupils in Glasgow had their craft skills put to the test in a challenge given to them by leading craft chain Hobbycraft.
The bosses at the Glasgow Fort branch, gave 12 local primary schools the chance to design an eye catching hat for Easter. The company then invited the rest of the community to get involved, as each brightly coloured bonnet was displayed in the Hobbycraft store, giving customers the chance to choose their favourite.
The event gave the children the chance to really go wild with their imagination and sparked their passion for crafting and creating. Hobbycraft is the UK's leading craft retailer and it's great to see the store planting that creative seed in more and more young people.
It was a tough competition, with all the entries being creatively unique, but the winners were the students at Avenue End Primary in Craigend, and they received a £150 Hobbycraft voucher for the school.
Glasgow's Lord Provost, Bob Winter praised the pupils efforts and was impressed with each design, saying “All the children's bonnets were bright, fun and imaginative.”
