A new TV series has propelled crafting into the limelight once again, further proving the resilience of the sector.
The programme, Kirstie's Homemade Christmas – hosted by well-known TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp – sees the star create a range of innovative projects using traditional craft skills and is just one of a number of similar programmes to highlight the growing interest in conventional pastimes over the past year.
The three-part series – which follows Ms Allsopp's hugely-popular crafting programme, Kirstie's Homemade Home, earlier this year – shows viewers how to create everything from their own handmade Christmas decorations, card and presents, to candles, baubles and wreaths. The presenter will also visit a number of local craftspeople and experiment with a range of new and unconventional techniques.

This programme has already generated new business for me. Long may it continue!
