This month saw the launch of the UK's only dedicated stationary exhibition and visitors responded enthusiastically to the event, impressed by the variety and quality of buyers.
The exhibition wowed the crowds with a extensive collection of stationary products and accessories, with over 95% of exhibitors showing new products.
Exhibitors were very positive about how many visitors the event attracted to their stalls, and felt upbeat about the results.
“We have seen all the buyers we could wish for and more” says Yuen Lee of Stabilo “We have a bulging envelope full of new accounts and orders.”
“All the big buyers and every big name – they were all here” says Sandrine Hedrick of Monteverde Writing Instruments. “We have had bigger results here than at any other show.”
Visitors included Sainsbury’s, Cards Galore, WHSmith, Papernation, Gardners Books, British Museum, Martin McColl, Fenwick, Blott, Wm.Morrison Supermarkets, Office Club, John Lewis, Ryman, DRI Licensing, Lyreco, Robert Dyas, Osborne Stationers, ISA Retail, The Pen Shop, Halesworth Stationers, Pilotfish, Colemans, Selfridges, Club Group, Bentalls, Paperchase, Wilkinson and Harrods, to name but a few.
“We promised to deliver “allsorts” of stationery buyers from across the whole market and that’s exactly what we have done,” says exhibition organiser Chris Leonard-Morgan. “We now have the opportunity to build a significant annual event for stationery buyers in the UK.”
After the initial event boosting an encouraging success, The Stationery Show will return in 2012 and take place at the Business Design Centre in London on Tuesday 24 – Wednesday 25 April.
