Craft 4 Crafters Returns to Westpoint
Published: Wednesday, November 05, 2008
Craft4Crafters returns to the Westpoint Arena, Exeter from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th January to create a haven for stitchers, knitters, jewellers, painters, scrappers and card makers. With over 50 workshops for visitors to choose from as well as appearances from well known faces from the Crafting industry such as Cross Stitch expert Jane Greenoff, card maker and scrapbooker Debbi Moore and the Art Doctor Keith Fenwick, there will be plenty of techniques to try as well as materials to buy at exclusive show rates.
The show will feature a ‘Make and Take’ zone where you can try a number of craft making techniques and get expert help with improving your existing skills. For more personal tutoring, take part in one of the many workshops held over the three days. These include scrapbooking and working with paper to create 3D pictures and cards to mosaic stamping, jewellery making and other contemporary craft making. With each workshop costing between £3 and £5, organisers are advising visitors to book their chosen workshop in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Live Craft Stage will also have demonstrations from leading names within the craft industry such as painter Keith Fenwick, stamp designer Debbi Moore who will be running the popular Ready Steady Craft and Shian Hendra an expert in Scrap booking. With audience participation, prizes, competitions and plenty of laughs the Craft Stage is definitely somewhere you will want to stop and visit.

Other features include creations from various crafters in preparation for the award for Art4Crafters Artist of the Year, an embroidery gallery including the finalists for the Embroiderer of the Year, and a Needle Craft Museum paying tribute to cross stitchers, lace makers and quilters over the past 60 years. The museum will feature presentations dating back to the Second World War and will exhibit patterns, designs, books, threads and tools, some will never have been displayed before. The Museum is being supported by Pearsall’s Silks, who have kindly allowed some of their early archives to be shown

Within the show will also be the Knit4Bliss area, inviting you to grab a pair of knitting needles and wool and knit a baby jacket for a premature baby whilst sitting and chatting with other visitors. The area, organised by the Bump2Baby Show, aims to support Bliss, the charity for babies born too soon, too small or too sick. You can also take away a pack so you can create more jackets at home.

Craft4Crafters is the ideal place if you are looking for a great day out where you can buy thousands of crafting supplies, get great ideas and inspiration. Over 60 exhibitors will offer products for Card Making, Papercrafts, Stamping, Scrapbooking, Sewing, Beading, Painting, Patchwork, Quilting, Knitting, and many others.

The Craft4Crafters Show is open from 10am until 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am until 4pm on Sunday. Ticket prices are just £5 when purchased in advance with a discount for concessions. For the latest updates or to book tickets, visit http://www.craft4crafters.co.uk or tel: 0117 970 5007.
